Ahmadinejad does Sudan, bashes "incarnation of Satan"
"Zionists are the true incarnation of Satan," Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad announced in a lecture to Sudanese officials and intellectuals during his visit to Khartoum March 1. "The Zionist regime is the symbol of hedonism and the incarnation of the soul of the oppressive powers," he added, his comments greeted by shouts of "God is Great!," the Iranian state news agency IRNA reported.
"Numerous Western powers who claim to defend democracy and human rights close their eyes to the Zionist crimes," he said. "There is no place in the world that suffers from divisions and wars unless America or the Zionists' fingerprints are seen there." Ahmadinejad also urged pan-Islamic unity with his regime. "Our strength and the cornerstone of the victory is in our [Muslims'] unity ... we have to pay attention to the devils who want to cause divisions among us," he said in Farsi translated into Arabic.
In his lecture entitled "Iran and the World," the Iranian president also reiterated his arguments in defense of Iran's nuclear program. "They want to keep science in their hands only...they don't want the rest of the world to progress," he said referring Iran's nuclear program. Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir declared support for Iran's nuclear ambitions. (The News, Pakistan, March 3; AP, March 1)
The usual maddening mix of legitimate outrage at Western hypocrisy and medieval "incarnation of Satan" jazz. You can almost forgive the idiot left for getting confused. But need we point out the irony that this was a schmooze-fest between Ahamdinejad, a Holocaust-denier, and the Sudan regime, a holocuast-perpetrator?
